Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. Buss is the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in real estate who eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated up and she felt emotionally abandoned. Her family's business was started at the age of 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she established her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before she became vice president of the Lakers, she served as president of the Great Western Forum. Buss and her five sisters inherited the Lakers control following the passing of Busshis father in the year 2013. Each sister had the same voice. In 2013, Buss took control for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with headquarter in Los Angeles.
