Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on 17 October 1992), is an Indian actress. She has a prominent role on screen in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. She received the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri the actress in the Telugu film Mahanati (2018). The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy is the child of producer G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her initial career path was a children's actress. Then, following a course in Fashion Design, she returned to acting. She played her first major part in Geethaanjali (2013) in a Malayalam feature film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first films outside of Malayalam and signed on to appear in several Tamil films at the same time. She released her first film, A. L. Vijay's love story Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015, opposite Vikram Prbhu. It was not successful at the box-office. To accommodate more ambitious projects, she needed to cancel films that she'd started working on. These included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. In the end, she was involved in two movies, Rajini Murugan followed by Remo which starred Sivakarthikeyan. Dhanush also played in the role of Thodari for Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. However, the film is delayed since 2015, with the possibility of release in September in 2020, under the name change to Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), featuring Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. Keerthy made her debut on screen in Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) with actor Vijay.
